Plan a seasonal resource around your school calendar

Seasonality is a planning input. A holiday or approaching term does not establish demand for a particular resource.

Reviewed 2026-09-23 · Original editorial checklist · Examples are synthetic

Synthetic brief: an autumn addition practice set for a teacher-selected elementary group. Learning objective: add whole numbers within 30. Demand evidence: unknown. Date: chosen from the author’s local calendar.
  1. Choose a locale and an actual classroom date. Build backward from the date you need the files, preview and listing ready.
  2. Check whether an existing resource already teaches the objective. Improve it before deciding to create a second product.
  3. Record the audience, skill, format, scope and evidence in a product brief. Separate your own teaching experience from marketplace observations.
  4. Create and inspect a small sample. Set a review date after publication and record equivalent observation periods.

Before you move on

If the seasonal theme were removed, would the resource still provide clear, appropriate practice?
