5. Chrome Extension Permissions & Data

The SpyLore Chrome Extension requests the following permissions, used only as described:

  • Storage: saves your extension settings and cached plan/quota status locally in your browser.
  • Cookies: checks, on spylore.com only, whether a SpyLore session cookie is present. We only check the cookie's name and whether it has a value — the cookie's contents are never read, stored, or transmitted.
  • Alarms: periodically refreshes your login and plan status in the background.
  • Context menus: adds a right-click option to look up a selected word or phrase on SpyLore.
  • Access to teacherspayteachers.com: lets the extension display keyword, SEO, and competitor insights directly on TPT pages, using publicly visible page content (titles, tags, descriptions, prices) from the page you're viewing.
  • Access to spylore.com: lets the extension sync your account, plan, and usage quota with our servers.

The extension does not access your browsing history, other websites, downloads, camera, or microphone, and it never reads your SpyLore password. Data read from TPT pages is used only to generate the research results you request and is handled under the same safeguards described in this policy.

6. Your Choices

You may request account updates, corrections, or deletion by contacting our support team using the details below. You can also uninstall the Chrome Extension at any time from chrome://extensions.
